Abstract :
Phase regeneration is necessary for differential phase-shift keying (DPSK) communication system. In this paper, a phase regenerator with photonic crystal fiber is proposed. By theoretical analysis and simulation, the optimum parameters of phase regenerator are obtained. The relevant data are compared. The results show that nearly ideal phase regeneration is achieved. Bit error rate improvement is greater than ten orders of magnitude.
