Abstract :
When studying an umbrella-shape printed dipole radiating element, matching of balun is significant to element´s characteristics of resonance and standing wave. We try to analyze it with the method analyzing circuit in stead of traditional method, Electronic Field Integrated Equation (EFIE). This paper analyzes S parameter of balun, and then investigates the VSWR. With a great deal of simulation by 3D EM simulation software, HFSS, the method analyzing circuit is effective for studying umbrella-shape printed dipole radiating element. In addition, we give the VSWR and radiation pattern of element and array.
