Abstract :
A new solution about hybrid transmission in RFID reader network, based on the wireless and wired channel characteristics, is purposed. The framework and critical approaches are analyzed in detail. Being different from the tradition TCP mechanism, the new wireless and wired TCP mechanism (W2-TCP) is presented in the solution. W2-TCP adequately utilizes the wireless and wired channel parameters respectively to evaluate exactly the channel status to modulate the data packet sending mechanism. Experiments show that the solution does improve highly the performance of data transmission and save largely the energy of mobile RFID readers.
