Combined impacts of IQ imbalance from both transmitter and receiver in OFDM systems

The combined impact of IQ imbalance from both the transmitter and the receiver in an OFDM system is analyzed mathematically and depicted graphysically. It is shown that when the amplitude imbalance is rather big and the angular imbalance is rather small, the actual impacts of IQ imbalance is under-estimated if only considering the receiver´s IQ imbalance, otherwise the actual impacts is over-estimated when only the receiver´s IQ imbalance is considered.
