Abstract :
In this paper, a novel mechanism of mobile seamless handoff based on MPLS multicast is proposed on the basis of analyzing handoff latency combining Hierarchical MIPv6 (HMIPv6) and Fast MIPv6 (FMIPv6). By searching the cross LSR with an effective and simple method, we rebuild the LSP from it to new access router and create dynamic buffer on the cross LSR. So we could minimize LSP path that need to be rebuilt and number of lost package may be deceased. With these measures, fast seamless handoff based on MPLS multicast could be realized.
