Abstract :
In this paper, we present a scheme for multicast access control. The proposed solution makes use of the Rendezvous Point(RP) of PIM-SM for collecting and updating keys to implement a distributed shared-key based multicast access control system. We name this PIM-SM based access control scheme PIMac. PIMac supports both receivers and senders access control, realizes host exclusion based on expire time and is compatible with current PIM protocol. Compared with existing solutions, it has a number of benefits such as low join latency, anti-replay and DoS robustness. The results show that PIMac improves the performance of the multicast access control systems effectively.
