Research on required data number in multipath fast fading channel simulation

Monte Carlo simulation is often used to detect the bit error rate (BER) performance of communication systems. The reliability and validity of simulation results, which is described in this paper by max relative error (MRE) at a certain confidence probability, rely on simulation number. A universal conclusion on how to choose simulation number in multipath fast fading channel is drawn in this paper. The result of computer simulation demonstrates that the conclusion is effective under conditions of multipath fast fading channel, both perfect and imperfect channel estimation situations.
