Abstract
In this paper, optimum channel quality prediction algorithm is proposed based on linear Minimum Mean Squared Error (MMSE) criteria. Influence of channel estimation error and average signal-to-noise (SNR) estimation error is also analyzed. Analysis results indicate the choice of sampling time is relevant to Doppler frequency. Due to high complexity of MMSE algorithm, an adaptive iteration algorithm is proposed to predict channel quality with low complexity. Simulation results show that this algorithm can get similar performance to MMSE algorithm.
