Abstract :
A new adaptive reduced-complexity Maximum likelihood sequence detection (MLSD) receiver applying reduced-state sequence estimation based on Per-survivor processing (RSSE-PSP) algorithm and decision feedback algorithm (DF) over fast fading mobile channel with 16QAM modulation is proposed in this paper. The adaptive channel tracking is implemented by a simplified kalman filter bank with very short pilot tone. Computer simulations show that this receiver is a good trade-off between the performance and complexity on fast fading mobile channels.
