Abstract
A viewpoint that more physical propagation principles should be considered in order to improve the modeling accuracy is firstly introduced. Base on this viewpoint, an enhanced elliptical scattering model (EESM) for predicting power spatial-temporal distribution in cellular propagation with low base station antenna is presented by adding two physical concepts of ‘effective scatterer’ and ‘reflecting probability’ to the geometrically based single bounce elliptical model (GBSBEM). Expressions are deduced for power azimuth spectra (PAS) and power delay spectra (PDS), respectively. The comparison of simulated results with measured results shows that, the EESM has obvious higher accuracy than the GBSBEM in both PAS and PDS prediction.
