An approach to analyze the performance of a 0-π phase shifter effect on the modulationof PSK signals

This paper presents an analysis and simulation that the performance of a 0- π phase shifter influence on the modulation of PSK signals. According to the analysis results, the carrier wave suppression is not only in connection with the phase error, but also with the switching speed and the parasitic amplitude modulation. Simultaneously the performance analysis and the simulation results of the performance of the 0-π phase shifter effecting on the BPSK signal are given. At last a 0-π phase shifter are fabricated and tested. The experimental results coincide with the simulation.
