Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a cooperative spectrum etiquette for cognitive radio network. The basic idea is to enable mutual information between neighboring radio devices to be shared, which aims at avoiding the classic “tragedy of the commons” effect. Meanwhile, we introduce the concept of clustering into the cooperative mechanisms. We utilize the idea of clustering to provide cooperation between members of the same cluster. Intuitionally, the proposed spectrum etiquette brings about the following benefits, such as low complexity, low delay, as well as alleviating overhead.
