  • Abstract
    Ka-band angle tracking system is a significant part on satellite. The precision of tracking receiver directly influence the quality of link. This paper analyzes the performance of multi-model single channel angle tracking system. It expatiates envelop detection theory and introduces synchronous detection. It simulates each scheme and gets useful results. After comparing the two schemes, it suggests using synchronous detection instead of envelop detection on beaconing tracking. It also analyzes the major factors influencing system performance. The simulation results can be used as reference in real engineering applications.
