Abstract
Adaptive clock recovery (ACR) method is often used for transporting CBR traffic in packet switched networks. How to deal with the random delay of CBR packet when using ACR method is a remarkable difficulty. For the random delay is mostly caused by queuing in the intermediate node, we modeled the queuing delay of CBR packet induced by transporting through an intermediate node with static priority. We also propose the corresponding source clock parameter estimation method called CoUD (center of uniform distribution) in this paper, and simulation results show that our CoUD outperforms traditional LS (least square) method significantly.
