Research and design of english mobile learning system based on J2ME

In order to improve learning flexibility and efficiency, and break the constraints of time and space, an English mobile learning system based on J2ME was proposed and realized in the paper. The structure of system, realization process and key technologies of J2ME system structure, XML analyzing, Data transmission between mobile terminal and Web server were introduced in the paper. XML language was the middleware to realize data exchange and processing for isomerism system. HTTP protocol was used to communicate etween Internet website and mobile terminal. The system was also used in some network school, the results manifested that the system could support E-learning better. Thus, we thought it might be a practical solution to realize self-learning and self-promotion in the lifelong education age.
