Abstract
UWB(Ultra Wideband) system takes up extremely wide bandwidth, so it interferes with narrowband communication systems each other easily, that influences the system performance. The main approach to the problem is designing pulse waveform for UWB system to make it have notches in narrowband interferences. The paper designed UWB pulse with APSWF (approximate prolate spheroidal wave functions) that is finite in time domain and frequency domain, made generated pulse satisfy the demand of spectrum hole. The experimental results showed that, the designed pulse could avoid the central frequencies of narrowband systems, and suppressed the narrowband interferences, so solved the coexistence of UWB system and narrowband communication systems successfully.
