Abstract :
Wavelet analysis has been a powerful tool for exploring and solving many complicated problems in natural science and engineering computation. In this work, the notion of orthogonal matrix-valued two-dimensional wavelet packets with an integer Quantity Dilation Matrix is introduced. A procedure for constructing them is presented. Their orthogonal properties are discussed by virtue of finite group theory, time-frequency analysis method and matrix theory. Orthogonality formulas on the wavelet packets are established.
