Abstract :
Phoslock is a specially modified clay product, designed for permanently removing soluble phosphorus (SP) from water body, as the SP is a main driver for algae bloom. On-site pilot-scale trial on Phoslock application for Lake Dianchi water has demonstrated Pholsock is a very effective agent in SP removal from Lake Dianchi water. From the on-site pilot-scale trial, Phoslock can either quickly remove the SP from its eutrophic water body effectively or maintain the SP in water body with a very low level in long-term. The Lake Dianchi eutrophic water, treated by Phoslock can keep in high transparency, but low levels of both SP and total phosphorus. Additionally, reasonable amount receiving of domestic and agriculture mixed wastewater from the around area canpsilat decrease the water quality with the treatment Phoslock. And Phoslock is environmental friendship to aquatic organisms.
