Abstract
The Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) system is outlined and key features and benefits described. The general progress of DRM in coming to market is discussed. Two case studies, “low power HF for urban coverage audio broadcasting” and “wide area HF data broadcasting”, are presented. The conclusion looks at the challenges in turning DRM into a commercial success.
