Abstract :
Asynchronous multirate sampling is a natural description for networked control system (NCS), while current research status on NCS has only focused on time-delay, data-packet loss, single-packet transmission, multiple-packets transmission, or their combinations. In this article, we will discuss modeling problem of NCS and then obtain an NCS model, which will take not only network-induced time-delay, but also asynchronous multirate sampling into account. We will only consider two kinds of asynchronous multirate NCS, i.e. multirate input and output NCS (MRINCS and MRONCS). And obvious advantages, e.g. MRINCS can improve control ability of digital controller and MRONCS can obtain more information about the plant and further increase control ability, will be seen from these two kinds of NCS.
