Abstract :
A new fuzzy logic control strategy of the EHB (electronic hydraulic braking) system is presented based on hardware-in-loop simulation test platform which can be used to identify the driver´s breaking intention. The brake torque command of the actuator is generated by closed loop fuzzy PID control methods which can control the switching of the solenoid valve to regulate the wheel brake cylinder pressure. Furthermore, hardware-in-the-loop simulation under critical driving conditions is conducted to test the effectiveness of the EHB controller that presented in this paper. The simulation result which shows very good performance in the emergency braking event, illustrates that the method presented in this paper not only has a high effectiveness to identify drivers´ braking intention, but also can shorten the response time of emergency braking to improve driving safety.
