Abstract :
Generation of high-energy sub-20-fs DUV pulses is reported by compression of 248.5 nm pulses in noble-gas-filled hollow fibers. Bandwidths of 7 nm and 10 nm with energies of 0.45 mJ and 0.25 mJ were achieved in helium and neon, respectively.
