  • Abstract
    Magnetic suspension systems have been successfully implemented for many applications such as frictionless bearings, high-speed maglev passenger trains, and fast-tool servo systems. Due to the features of the instability and nonlinearities of the magnetic suspension system, the design of a high-performance controller for the position control of the levitated object is very important. TI´s TMS320F2812 is a high performance Digital Signal Controller currently in control engineering field. This paper presents a magnetic levitation ball control system based on TMS320F2812. And this paper also proposes a feasible and effective solution to the problem of sampling instability that generally exits in the TMS320F2812 A/D module. The magnetic levitation ball is suspended successfully by the Designed controller.
