Abstract
In this paper, we analyze two classical methods of lightpath establishment which have same time consuming to establish a lightpath and propose a novel lightpath establishment method with intermediate-node help. In this scheme, network information in intermediate-node is used to established direct lightpath between destination node and intermediate-node which sends out messages back to the source node without confirming message propagation delay of destination node. This method consumes less time than classical methods. Simulation results show that it can greatly shorten the time of lightpath establishment and the wavelength-confirmed delays.
