Performance management as an effective tool plays an important role in the evaluation, encouraging staff, promoting enterprise development, improving the market position of company, enhancing vitality and competitiveness. However, what are the key points on implementing performance management? The author of this paper discussed the problem with a case study of a joint venture electronic enterprise in Hunan Province. Through investigation and follow-up study to the performance implementation of this enterprise, the author analyzes the key to the implementation of performance management and puts forward relevant proposals. If an enterprise wants to implement performance management, they should analyse the need for the performance management implementation, gets the continual support from management, designs performance management system, considers fully with performance feedback, face-to-face interviews, performance improving, results application and so on.
