Abstract :
In the distributed multi-sensor information fusion system composed of 2-D radar and infrared sensor, the problem of the track correlation is sophisticated because the types of the sensors are different and both of them don´t possess the consistent measurement space, this paper presents a radar-infrared sensor track correlation algorithm based on fuzzy number similarity degree. In this algorithm, each track´s bearing information is considered as a discrete function of time, after performed temporal and spatial alignment, synchronizing the asynchronous bearing information of the track come from each sensor to the same reference time scale on the same coordinate system, the fuzzy number of each bearing information is calculated by using triangular membership function, the similarity degree between every two fuzzy numbers is calculated, then, the similarity degree´s matrix of fuzzy number of bearing information is formed and the track correlation pairs are determined based on the similarity degree´s matrix. The results of simulation experiment show that this algorithm can effectively accomplish radar and infrared sensor track correlation.
