Abstract
The balanced coaxial differential probe benefits from tuning of the probe and z-match inductances near the probe tip. Imbalances in the two channels can be assessed and minimized using a ferrite. The probe´s network analyzer spectrum is explained, with common mode resonance over the cable length related to the main source of error.
