Probabilistic assessment of the safety, security and efficiency of large-scale LV networks

This paper addresses the problem of probabilistic assessment of large scale low voltage distribution networks. The focus is on network safety, security and efficiency. The paper shows that probabilistic assessment of large scale networks is necessary and possible. Necessary, because of the leading role of LV networks in electrical energy distribution and microgeneration. Possible, because of the availability of advanced probabilistic models, intensive computing, efficient display of results and an adequate interaction technology.
