  • Abstract
    Distribution protection relays have changed significantly during the last decade. These advanced multifunctional IEDs are today at the bottom of the communications architecture of many substation protection, automation and control systems (SPACS). Testing of these devices requires good understanding of their functionality, the available tools and the purpose of the test.
