  • Abstract
ESD waveforms such as the Human Body Model (HBM), the Machine Model (MM), and the Charged-Device Model (CDM), are standard methods used to evaluate ESD sensitivity of parts. However, in recent years, there has been a growing concern about damaging GMR heads from Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI). Since no standard method exists for EMI evaluation, it is important to develop one. In this paper, we studied a relatively easy method for comprehending the basic characteristics of EMI using the instruments that are widely used in conventional ESD evaluation.
