Abstract :
In telemetry system, the desired signal is hard to obtain when using adaptive beamforming technology. This problem leads to restriction of adaptive algorithm used in telemetry system. In this paper, a DOA-estimation-based blind adaptive beamforming algorithm is presented. The structure of the algorithm consists of two components: DOA estimator and adaptive beamformer. For practical implementation, an improved method is proposed to substitute the conventional DOA estimation algorithm in DOA estimator. Simulation results demonstrate that, the improved DOA estimation method reduces the computational load and complexity in DOA estimating operation, and the proposed adaptive beamforming algorithm has good performance used in telemetry system.
