Abstract
One of the most valuable advantages of autodyne SRR (short-range radar) structure is the possibility of implementation of miniature effective lightweight transceivers at rather high sensitivity and energy potential. This possibility is particularly effective in application for SRR on the basis of modern Gunn diode (GD) oscillators. It is shown in some publications that in Gunn diode oscillators the diode current at output short-circuit is the optimal autodyne signal parameter for registration, i.e. when the oscillator supply is arranged from the voltage source. This condition can be fulfilled with registration devices offered in this paper, which use the function of "current-voltage" converter and provide the improved noise performance of the autodyne system.
