Abstract :
The work is dedicated to research of hemispherical open resonator (OR) with a fragment of a coaxial line in the centre of a flat reflector. Excitation efficiency of TE01 wave mode of such waveguide via TEM01q oscillation mode of OR is analyzed. Excitation efficiency amount of 97% is demonstrated. On the ground of conducted analysis, availability of such resonance system for compression microwave energy of millimeter wave length range is discussed.
