Abstract :
By means of tunneling packages of data are transferred through a shared network, as by usual point-to-point connection. It is known, that under certain conditions creation in virtual channel MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) tunnels essentially increases efficiency of data transmission, for example in mobile communication system. However there are conditions at which application of tunneling is undesirable. In the given work the practical technique of an estimation of efficiency of tunneling is developed, and characteristic curve of the maximum number of nodes versus loading on routers for a case of obtaining of a positive effect from MPLS tunneling is defined.
