Abstract :
The results of optimization for efficiency of peniotrons and large-orbit gyrotrons at working mode H41 of a circular waveguide are represented. It is shown, that at the compared level of magnetic B0, the peniotron considerably surpasses the large-orbit gyrotron: the peniotron´s maximum efficiency reaches 50 % at the amplification band on half power 6.5 %, but the gyrotron has maximum efficiency of 14.5 % at band 2.5 %.
