Abstract :
The frequency of radiation higher than 1 THz has been recently demonstrated in pulse gyrotrons. The output power P = 1,6 kW at 1 THz and 0.5 kW at 1,3 THz has been obtained at the fundamental harmonic. Gyrotrons demonstrate single-mode operation with a frequency of 1 THz in the long pulse (1 ms) operation regime at the 2nd cyclotron harmonic (P~100 W) and at the 3rd harmonic (P = 0,4 kW).
