Abstract :
This paper introduces a new realization for the high impedance wire (HIW), signal-HIW, and two applications that benefit from the advantages of the HIW: compact size rat-race coupler and HIW transmission lines. Theoretical expectations have been confirmed with EM simulations and measurements.
