Abstract
This paper presents VIRGO_DFS, a framework of distributed file system based on virtual hierarchical tree grid organizations(VIRGO) p2p network. The directory servers (DS) construct n-tuple virtual hierarchical overlay network. Because of the cached addresses of directory servers, the overload of traffic in tree structure can be avoided. This strategy can construct virtually huge volumes of file storage by connecting billions of computers. It may enhance stability against file servers´ crash down. It also makes file operation totally transparent.
