Abstract :
Evaluating routing protocols is one of the better methods to study mobile ad hoc networks. Many related works simulate the classical flat protocols such as AODV, DSDV and DSR etc. However, to our knowledge, there are few works which simulates cluster or hierarchical routing protocols. We firstly introduce the cluster routing protocols in ad hoc networks. Secondly, because of no cluster routing protocols implemented in NS2 at present, this thesis particularly introduces the mechanism of CBRP and shows how to integrate it into NS2. At last according to the simulations of CBRP and AODV with the metrics of packet delivery ratio and routing overload the results show that CBRP has a better performance than AODV to some extent.
