Abstract :
There has been much interest in standardization for robots recently, as the emerging robotic products are being introduced in the market. This paper reviews on the ongoing standardization activities for service robots in Korea. We first describe the efforts at Korea Standard Forum for Intelligent Robots. Then, we explain how some of these standards are enacted as KS, Korea industrial standards. We believe that this dual stage approach allows fast standardization while giving enough time for selected topics.
