Abstract :
Seoul metro takes care of the air quality of indoor space of the subway through the HVAC (high ventilation and air conditioning) system. It contains a few dust control devices including panel type filter, electrostatic precipitator and demister. This work reviews current air control systems installed in sample stations focusing on dust particle collection. As a result of the survey, panel type filters showed moderated efficiency of dust collection with low DeltaP. Collection efficiency varies from about 20% to 90% depending on the filter life and particle size.
