Abstract :
This paper explores the agent model that call learn symbols including an adjective in addition to a noun for advanced communication and investigates the relationship between the symbol understanding and the embodiment of an agent. Intensive simulations result on the naming game has revealed the following implications: (1) the effectiveness of using an adjective differs according to the body of the agents. the agents having ambiguous perception can roughly recognize the objects and communicate each other, while the agents having sensitive perception fail to distinct the objects by using the color and shape information of the objects, which suggests that the features of perception in the agents are critical to build the artifact that can communicate each other: and (2) the level of symbol understanding can be roughly categorized in four level, this enable us to understand the deep communication that cannot be understood from the superficial communication provided by the conventional model.
