Abstract

Recently, manufacturers have highly interest of environmental issues and energy save for a global warming. Almost big manufacturers published an annual green report every year. They described a result of assessment by themselves. In a manufacturing system, it is difficult to estimate of usage energy, and also it is difficult to compare between other manufacturing systems. One of reasons is not to establish the standard for a evaluation method of manufacturing system. Therefore, JISC (Japan Industrial Standardization Committee) is proposing the new standard work item concerning environmental evaluation methods of manufacturing system to ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) TC184 (Automation systems and integration).
