Abstract
In this paper, we describe an embed iris recognition system for the personal identification. Different from other iris recognition system, we use only one DSP core (TMS320DM642), which can complete image acquisition, image processing, and communication with the peripheral circuits. The whole system not only can reduce costs, shorten the development cycle, and also can reduce power consumption. And we design a originality image acquisition mode, which can get a high quality image without the manual intervention. We design the abundant peripheral port in our system; it can provide a good running platform for the high-speed image processing.
