Abstract
Ocean wave monitoring is a significant activity in oceanography and forecasting. There are several techniques utilized for this activity ranging from local point buoys and wide-area satellites. This study focuses on constructing modular wave sensors that can be utilized efficiently in a local area wave monitoring system. This paper presents this development in different stages, namely, wave sensor construction, laboratory experiments and testing, field deployments, preprocessing technique application, and evaluation.
