  • Abstract
The aim of this work is to prepare a multilayer polyelectrolyte film using layer-by-layer technique (LbL), by sequentially immersing of a Nafion 117 membrane in positively and then negatively charged polyelectrolyte solutions in a cyclic procedure, based on the electrostatic attraction between opposite charges polyelectrolytes. Poly (sodium styrene sulfonate) - PSS has been used as polyanionic solution and poly (diallyldimethylammonium chloride) - PDDA - as polycationic solution, respectively. The total film thickness can easily be adjusted by varying the ionic strength of the solution.
