  • Abstract
Random number plays a central role in statistics sampling, probability, gambling, cryptography, and everything with unpredictability. In general, the random real numbers are generated from a sequence of random binary numbers. We will propose a pseudo random number generator that generates a random-like real number sequence first and then extracts a specific bit of every real number as the binary random value. The random-like real number sequence is produced by the divergence of scaling function in wavelet theorem. This random-like real sequence is determined by its scaling coefficients and is very sensitive to these coefficients. Hence, it is suitable in the practice of cryptography.
