Abstract :
We investigate a potentially large bandwidth / high resolution RF spectrum analyzer, based on spectral hole burning in Tm3+:YAG. With respect to our previous investigations, we strive to take advantage of recent advances in closed cycle cryogenics, fast scanning DFB lasers, and stable mechanical beam deflectors.
