Abstract :
We propose and demonstrate a wavelength-division multiplexed traveling wave semiconductor cascade laser (WDM-TWSCL) for analog fiber-optic link applications. A four-element WDM-TWSCL has been constructed using commercially available components as a proof-of-concept. A return loss better than 10 dB has been achieved from DC to 3 GHz while the intensity modulation (IM) transfer function magnitude is seen to increase with increasing number of elements.
