Abstract :
Stewart Smith received the B.Eng. degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering in 1997 and the Ph.D. degree in 2003 from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. In 2007 he was appointed to an RCUK Academic Fellowship in the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh to work on interdisciplinary collaborations at the interface between engineering and biomedicine. His current research interests include implantable microsystems for medical applications and the development of microfluidic systems for cell manipulation and culture.
